A smart, lightweight timer that works with Google Slides. Pick the slide range you’ll present, set a total time, optionally tweak a few slides, and start presenting. Slides Timer divides time fairly, shows a clean countdown overlay, and dynamically redistributes spare/overrun time so you always know when to move on.
Always on schedule – Fair time per slide with clear, on-screen countdown.
Adapts live – Finish early? Extra seconds are spread across remaining slides. Run long? Remaining slides share the cut.
Simple & private – Runs locally in your browser; no accounts, no analytics, no ads.
Adds a small launcher in the Slides editor and a floating overlay in Present mode.
Lets you select a slide range (e.g., 1–10) and a total time (e.g., 10 min).
Supports per-slide overrides in a simple textbox:
3: +2 → add 2 minutes to slide 3
3: -1 → subtract 1 minute from slide 3
3: =5 → set slide 3 to exactly 5 minutes
Shows a per-slide time hint in the popup so you can see the average time allocation before you start.
During the talk: the overlay counts down; finishing slides early or late automatically rebalances time across the remaining slides.
Open your Google Slides deck (editor view).
Click the Slides Timer launcher in the toolbar (or the extension icon).
In the popup:
Pick your start and end slide (e.g., 1–10).
Enter Total minutes (e.g., 10).
Click Save or Start.
Enter Present mode. The timer overlay appears automatically.
Use the overlay to Start / Pause / Stop as needed.
Note: If you try to save a range that exceeds the real slide count, Slides Timer warns you and blocks saving.
